Quantum Sensing
Quantum Sensing
SIMAQ envisions the development and local manufacturing of advanced quantum sensors, ensuring Saudi Arabia’s capability to design, produce, and deploy its own quantum sensing technologies. This approach not only secures technological sovereignty but also provides a competitive edge in critical sectors such as defence, space, and resource exploration. To realize this vision, SIMAQ has identified the following priority quantum sensing technologies
Quantum LiDAR for Stealth Detection
Utilizing quantum-based Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) technology to detect and track stealth objects with ultra-high sensitivity and precision such as (Drones, stealth fighters). Quantum LiDAR leverages quantum entanglement and photon correlation to overcome traditional radar limitations, enabling detection of low-observable or cloaked targets.
Quantum Navigation
Develop quantum-enhanced navigation systems capable of operating in GPS-denied environments, providing ultra-precise positioning, imaging, and situational awareness for defense, aerospace, and critical infrastructure applications.
Quantum Magnetometry and atomic clock
1. Utilize quantum-entangled photons and atomic interferometry to achieve ultra-accurate measurements of magnetic fields, gravity, and time synchronization, supporting defense, space, and infrastructure monitoring applications.
2. Utilize Diamond NV Centers and atomic Vapor cells to achieve ultra-accurate measurements of magnetic fields, gravity, and time synchronization, supporting mineral exploration, defense, space, and infrastructure monitoring applications.
